Whoever Hires Me Will Be Extremely Fortunate
Today something unexpected happened. I wasn't planning on attending this afternoon's mock interviews, but apparently Kevin had forgotten that I had afternoon plans.
So around the standard time to return from lunch, he told me to meet back in the main room. I returned and decided to participate.
Several students no-showed.
Apparently a few interviewers did too. However, there was still an opportunity for me to do two behavioral interviews. Both went exceptionally well.
Good conversations with friendly people. One interviewer, a woman who worked with AI at a smaller company said, whoever was able to hire me would be extremely fortunate.
I've always been good at interviewing. Although these interviews went well, I was slightly disappointed that I didn't get to try a technical interview.
That was the unique experience that I likely won't get much of after Code Platoon since I'm not seeking traditional employment as a software dev. But ultimately I'm glad I participated to get more experience talking to people in tech.
