Adjust My Expectations Accordingly

The group project is going well. The strange part is that the project no longer feels like the main work of the day.

Code Platoon — Week 14, Day 66

The group project continues to go well. But what's strange is that I'm spending more time preparing for and finishing whiteboard problems than I am working on the group project. Four 30 minute practice problems a day is excessive, especially since the chosen algorithms are now longer and more complex. They often cause me to take another 10 or 15 minutes after the allotted class time to finalize and submit a solution. I told both instructors this. They said the feedback was appreciated, but we're still going with the four problems a day. This is a misfire. I suggested that this point in the program should be focused on transitioning us from students to software devs. The response was concurrence, but that it would be difficult to implement tailored career prep at this point. I took that to mean this final portion of the program would continue to be it's weakest and least valuable for me as a student. I should adjust my expectations accordingly.
